How can I donate items?

We accept donations of children’s clothing and baby equipment at our two Giving Centers in Boxford and Lawrence. Please contact Outreach@CommunityGivingTree.org with questions.

Do you accept car seats?

Yes, we accept infant, toddler, and booster seats. They must be less than 5 years old and recently washed. No car seats that have been in an accident will be accepted.

May I have a tax receipt for my donation?

Yes. Community Giving Tree is a registered non-profit organization. Tax receipts are available when you donate goods.

How do I receive donations?

We provide donations to professionals working with non-profit organizations such as schools, social service agencies, and health care centers. Goods are available to agents who provide services to families living in Essex County or Lowell Massachusetts. Agents must enroll to receive our services.  LEARN MORE

who may visit your facility to receive items?

We are unable to have clients or the general public visit our facility. Only enrolled professionals representing families in need may use our services.

How can my business or organization sponsor a collection?

Community Giving Tree relies on local businesses, schools, libraries, and places of worship to sponsor collection drives throughout the year. We provide a collection box, the list of items needed and all the promotional material you need to make your drive a success. LEARN MORE

How can my scout or youth group get involved?

We offer volunteer opportunities for scouts or youth groups ages 10 and up after school. We provide a short activity local poverty and then have the group participate in an age-appropriate task. We ask that groups bring a donation when they volunteer. LEARN MORE

Are there volunteer opportunities for high school students?

We offer community service opportunities for students ages 13-17 after school and during the summer in both Boxford and Lawrence.  We offer volunteer Internships for students entering their Junior or Senior Year. Students may also run a collection drive.  LEARN MORE

How can my child host a drive?

Share the joy of your birthday, graduation, or special event by hosting a Care and Share Party. Choose a party theme, and ask your guests to donate new items for children in need. 

What do you do with the funds you raise?

Community Giving Tree is a registered non-profit charity. We raise funds through our annual appeal, local foundation grants, events, and the annual Patron Circle Fundraiser. These funds are used to support our programs, such as Bundles of Kindness, Seeds of Giving, and Community Outreach. Some items we distribute must be new, such as diapers, toiletries, and school supplies. We use designated funds to purchase these items. Tax receipt
